Residency
Dancers and performers wishing to immerse themselves in the cross-cultural contemporary work of Gabriela Zuarez’s Sur Mundo Ensemble, which emerges from the constructive sources of tango, can apply for the residencies held in Amsterdam or Buenos Aires. The residency program may include in-house workshop-labs, masterclasses and mentoring.
Since 2017, the Dance Residencies have continued to evolve and have been made permanent. They are programmed annually in Amsterdam ( Dance Research & Development) and Buenos Aires (Coreo-Lab) and gather dancers together for a long-life learning journey while enabling dancers’ enhancement, upgrading and connection.
Workshop & Lab
Alongside the Amsterdam residencies, a sister residency, Coreo-Lab Holland- Argentine, has developed in Argentina. Dramaturge Gabriela Zuarez and the production house TU TRIBU (formerly MIKKO Studio) programmed the Coreo-Lab residencies, which included boot camps, workshops, and research labs, with the participation of many dancers in residence. They had the opportunity to improve their skills, learn, review new approaches, and reflect on their dancing bodies.

Master Classes
Masterclasses Skills and Language are designed for dancers of all skill levels and techniques and are suited for dance academies, schools or companies. Gabriela Zuarez’s methodical use of the tools of tango dance has been recognised over the years in the dance and theatre field.
Those masterclasses are pointed out to dance professionals who are active in the practice. Each masterclass is unique, has a tailored format, and can have different content per class, where participants can grasp the tools and vision behind the dramaturge-choreographer.
Mentoring
Dancers’ life is very intense. Dance careers on and off stage are uncertain. A dance career is a lifelong journey in which the person-dancer may gain a range of skills and expertise by dedicating endless hours at the dance studio, rehearsals, and the theatre while at the same time having to make choices and sacrifices that will trace the dancer’s personal life and future.
