Open Level Movement & Tango Practice: a group learning dance experience together with the dancers of the ensemble of the Sur Mundo Ensemble who will lead two social and inclusive dance practices in preparation for the performance event on Wednesday 4 December. Get everyone’s bodies ready for the day!
The first approach to dance is to share an after-rehearsal with the dancers. Start your journey with a dynamic practice where you’ll explore expressive movement, floor work and improvisation, and move into the world of tango with a practice that focuses on connecting and flowing. No fixed partner is needed for the tango practice. The session is designed to be inclusive, welcoming people of all backgrounds and levels, with or without dance experience.
Bring neat and comfortable casual wear, foot gloves, sports socks, or dancing shoes.
The ensemble invites the community to join a dance, movement practice, and a tango practice. Those are open to everyone over 18, including all bodies, genders, identities, social levels, cultural backgrounds, and language barriers. Interested people can choose to follow one practice or to immerse in the whole live performance event program. Surprise!
The practice will take place at Podium Mozaiek theatre Amsterdam West after the ensemble’s rehearsal from 18:00 till 19:00.
